The Diary of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

I am Greg Heffly and I have many problems, in home and school, and I also get harassed and bullied by my older brother, Rodrick. He has a rock band and sometimes they could get annoying. Rodrick picks, harasses, embarrasses, and is mean to me. But what can I do about it he’s my brother for life and he is mine. I am also going to start a new grade, 7th grade. Im went to the skating rink and reunited with Rowley and my classmates Chirag and Fregley.  I need to forget about the past but I think I can do that with my friends Rowley, Fregley, and Chirag help. Rowley's fame starts to grow; Greg must take drastic measures to save their friendship. At home im having problems because since my dad says he might have to send me to military school if Greg doesn't "toughen up,” Today Chirag told me about the new girl in school named Holly Hills and sounds pretty and nice; I think I would like to meet her. I attempted to skate with Holly, but then my older brother Rodrick intervenes, ending with my mom speaking to me on the loudspeaker and then she humiliates me in front of everyone. Days go by and then my mom finally notices that Rodrick and me don’t get along and calls for a family meeting.  She talks to us about getting along with each other but immediately I know that’s not going to work but then she offers us "Mom Bucks", (which we can trade in for real money.) I have to accept this. Rodrick and me also compete with each other to earn the Mom Bucks’.
On Sunday, we went to church. I didn’t really want to go inside or to church at all, and also I noticed that I had a chocolate mark on my pants. My mom used her blouse to cover up the stain, but our plan doesn’t go well when Rodrick exposes my pants and then I got so mad and I started fighting Rodrick on the floor of the church. As punishment we spend together on the weekend together to bond. Later that day Rodrick hosts a party at the house and locks me in the basement (how mean). Rowley came to 'save' me, but Rodrick locks him in the basement as well, until a call from mom ends in Rodrick letting the two out in return, both of them had to keep this a secret. The house party was very awesome and fun! The next day we got a call from mom telling us that Manny is sick and they're returning early from their vacation. The house is trashed, and then we had an hour to clean it and erase all evidence of the party before mom and dad arrived home. Mom and dad arrived and soon realizes about the party and so I decided to confess. However, I liked the party so much and didn’t want to get in trouble so I said the party was only a band rehearsal, and with that we escape punishment. Rodrick, finally tells me something I really wanted to hear like,” your 'not as half as lame as I thought', and then we finally become friends. After I ask Rodrick for advice on Holly Hills, but his attempts fail and embarrass me.
We returned home to find that dad has seen the photos of the party and we got in trouble. I was grounded for two weeks plus no video games, and then on the other hand Rodrick got grounded for two weeks and disallowed from being in the talent show. Rodrick and I go back how we used to be, not friendly and then we spend the weekend with grandpa. I soon run into Holly and then I reveal that we both have identical families. Holly gives me advice and also I feel more positive than negative. After that a few days later we all performed in the talent show, me, mom, Rowley, and Rodrick and his band as well. I fixed my problems with my family. Sooner or later I will have to cooperate with Rodrick. I also have to take responsibility of my actions also because they will determine my future with Rodrick, Manny, Mom, and Dad. I also don’t want to be like Rodrick because I want to be more nicer, smarter, and better looking than him. He is just another obstacle in my way of life success.

Dear..

Dear Ms. Jacobson,

I think you should read this book. If you like funny, entertaining books then you might want to spend some time reading this book. Almost every page has an illustration that helps you understand the book better and easier. This book talks about being in middle school as well. Also this book is great to read. You should read Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules, by Jeff Kinney. The main character Greg can be pretty harsh to his friends and often has poor judgment, and in the end it all leads to lessons and consequences. In the book Greg is just trying to put the summer and its events behind him. His big brother Rodrick finds out his biggest secret that Greg has, and then he bullies him and scares that he might tell people about his secret. This book and had good laughs and lots of funny moments to remember. My favorite part of the book is when Greg is at a swim meeting and he is too busy worrying about where the bullet was going to land he just did a cannon ball in the pool. Also I like when Manny drew a picture of Greg and Rodrick fighting so his parents thought it was they fighting so every time Manny walked by them they acted all lovey. I think you should really read this book Ms. Jacobson. Jeff Kinney is a great author and made this book entertaining and funny. But if you want to understand this book you have to read the 1st book of course, understand it. But if you don’t like these types of books you would like it or maybe not even understand the things that happen in the book. Last but not least i would recommend this book to anyone who has a older or younger brother and gets in fights a lot, there is a very big connection between the book and real life. I love this book and recommend it to anyone and of any age.

Jeff Kinney

Jeff Kinney was born on February 19, 1971 in Maryland.  He attended to the university of Maryland in the 1990’s. He is an American game designer, cartoonist, and author of children books. He published a comic strip, "Igdoof" in the college newspaper, but he soon discovered that succeeding in the real world, as a syndicated cartoonist wasn’t going to be easy. So, after school, he supported himself as a newspaper designer and computer programmer, while working out ideas for a children's book that combined cartoons with conventional storytelling.

He made his own website. He also created the kid-friendly website Poptropica. Many children around the world know Poptropica. While he was in college it took him 6 years before publishing the book, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. He started in 1998 by collecting ideas for the book and hoping it would soon become a book, which became true soon on.

The first book was released on 2007 and became a bestseller.  In 2008 his second book, Rodrick Rules, and was also a bestseller.  Last but not least in 2009 his last book published, The Last Straw, was named #1 bestseller in the country. The books were so good that they were turned into movies. In 2009, Jeff was named one of the 20 Artists & Entertainers in The TIME 100, the magazine's list of The World's Most Influential people.

Jeff lives Plainville, Massachusetts. He lives with his wife and their two sons. Jeff Kinney works full-time as a writer and designer of online games. He has only done the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. He says that there is a high possibility that there is going to be a 3rd movie.

Test Taking Stratagies

1)Relax.
2)Skip Hard Problems And Come Back To It Later.
3)Dont Spend To Much Time On One Problem.
4)Take Your Time.
5)Don't Rush Through The Test.

The 2 Paragraphs:
From here until CST's I have to study a lot, a lot, a lot! I actually don't like to study at all and thats why I probably get low grades on tests. I have this week to do anything in order to help me do well on the CST's. What i am going to do is not stay after school for this week and study at my house. I am going to go over all of my notes in order to do well.
I am going to accomplish these goals by putting my phone, computer, ps3 and ipod aside. Those are the things that mostly take my time and distract me the most of it. Instead of being on all of that I am going to take out my notes and books to go over all the things i need to know for the CST's. Also for math i can go to tutoring. Since I am doing pretty low in Algebra it may kinda help. That is what i am going to do from now until CST's. I have to pass the CST's.

Ballad Poem.

Everything started when South Carolina succeeded from the Union.
Lincoln was president at that time, and wanted to end the war quick.
South saw no other way to get their freedom, so they started the civil war.

Confederate and Union Soldiers faced each other in battle.
The Confederate army started out strong.
Blacks’ wanted to join and fight for their freedom.

South faced a very tough time, throughout the war.
North used the Anaconda way of killing/technique.
By the Anaconda plan, the north cut their supplies low and Confederate soldiers weak.

In the battle, many young poor souls were lost.
There was little amount of cattle’s to feed mouths.
Rattlesnakes killed many soldiers.

In the end the north won the battle.
Lincoln was assainated by the “Brad Pit” of that time.
But in the end slavery was abolished everywhere and the U.S.A stayed together, as 1.
